Water is not really rare on earth - 72% of its surface is covered by water. However, only 3.5% of this water is sweet water, and of that just a small portion can be used by humans.
The kind and volume of water resources that humans and animals can drink and that plants need to grow is different in the various geographic regions of the world. Desertification is a grave and urgent problem. More and more people suffer from hunger and actually starve.
Arpolith alone cannot fight the desert, but it can make an important contribution to combating the spread of desertification. For Arpolith stores water even in meagre grounds and makes plants prosper where otherwise hardly a blade of grass can grow. Arpolith can help people to grow their own food, reducing hunger and adding to independence.
We think this is a good aim.
